The ideal candidate for this mobile engineering role will have experience developing Android and iOS apps through their full lifecycle, from concept through shipping to maintenance. You will work on a privacy-first digital identity wallet, controlled by the end user. We use a combination of core libraries that we also maintain, low level protocols, and new interoperable digital credential standards. Most important, you interested in challenging opportunities for significant personal growth.
\n ResponsibilitiesRefactor, maintain, and extend the open source credential wallet application on Android and iOS. The desired architecture is a set of reusable SDKs that contain the core functionality and UX workflow components. The completed application's code should be a thin layer over the SDKs.Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and UX designers responsible for managing user stories, features, and releasesDevelop the mobile application including releasing the app to Google Play Store and Apple App Store Qualifications3+ years experience shipping Android and iOS applicationsExperience with Kotlin and Swift.Experience with one or more of: Flutter, React NativeComfortable with rapid directional changes in a fully remote startup environmentExperience collaborating with geographically and culturally diverse engineering teams Bonus Understanding of computer security, basic use of cryptography, and principles of user data privacyAbility to write software that interacts with low level communications protocols, especially Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC, and WiFi AwareExperience with secure enclaves, hardware-based cryptography, or sensitive data handling on Android and iOSBachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
