About the SEAL team The Search Engine and Landing Optimization team (SEAL) is focused on optimizing the furthest upfunnel landing pages for users. We experiment to improve the user experience on these pages and to shepherd users downfunnel to where Thumbtack can provide value. Along the way, we observe SEO best practices to ensure that these upfunnel pages rank strongly on search engines that will enable our users to find Thumbtack when it's time to get help.
As the product owners for the pages users see at the beginning of their journey, there's a lot we can do to pair users with value early in their search and to help get them to the right place.
Challenge Many of the sorts of changes we're making are unproven, and as a data-driven company, we prefer to run experiments that vet our hypotheses. Given we have cross-functional teams, if you like looking at user problems from a product or design perspective, you'll be a great fit for this.
