Software Engineer - Entry LevelWhy This is an Exciting Role: As a Software Engineer - Level 2 at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for:
Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDebugging existing software and correct defectsProviding recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standardsDesigning and code new software or modify existing software to add new featuresIntegrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environmentsDeveloping simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositoriesWriting or review software and system documentationDesigning or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queriesDeveloping or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standardsAssisting with developing and executing test procedures for software componentsDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areasModifying existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performanceDesigning, developing and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of designDesigning or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team productsImplementing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standardsConferring with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesCoordinating software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are metRecommend new technologies and processes for complex software projectsServing as the technical lead of multiple software development teamsSelecting the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineeringEnsuring quality control of all developed and modified softwareWhat Makes BI&A Different:As a fully owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, BI&A offers an optimal mix of a small company environment with exceptional opportunities supported by a large corporation.

Required Education and Years of Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).Required Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with PolygraphExperience with consuming and writing web servicesExperience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software componentsExperience in ensuring software development adheres to 508 Compliance standards for accessibilityExperience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentationExperience working in an Agile software development environmentExperience using with Jira and ConfluenceEnsuring quality control of all developed and modified softwareExperience with the following software development skills:GitReactJavaSpring BootJavaScriptNode.jsJQueryAngularJS/Angular 2+MongoDBTelework/Remote Availability: Hybrid model approved, up to 16-hours per week (dependent on team)

Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$175,000 - $205,000
