Compensation : $105,000 - $120,000 per year (CA minimum= $115,763, WA minimum= $118,514). You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.

Software Engineer II-Remote, USA

We're seeking a talented and skilled mid-level Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative features across the entire application stack. Leveraging your expertise in MVC frameworks (particularly PHP/Symfony), and best practices, you'll craft clean and efficient backend logic, potentially utilizing microservices architecture and Docker for containerization.

On the front-end, you'll utilize your skills with React/Redux or Angular to build user-friendly and responsive interfaces that provide exceptional user experiences.

This role demands someone comfortable working with both relational and NoSQL databases, like MySQL and MongoDB. Your strong foundation in cloud technologies, preferably AWS, will be invaluable as we continue to scale our infrastructure.

But that's not all! You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with the team on utilizing CI/CD tools like Bamboo and explore search engines like Elasticsearch, further enriching your technical skillset.

Essential Functions

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using MVC frameworks, especially PHP/Symfony
Implement and optimize database schemas and queries for both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
Utilize ORM (Doctrine) for efficient data manipulation and persistence
Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using front-end frameworks such as React/Redux or Angular
Build and deploy microservices using Docker for enhanced scalability and flexibility
Utilize cloud technologies, with a focus on AWS, to architect and deploy reliable solutions
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate build, test, and deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Bamboo
Implement advanced search functionalities using Elasticsearch or similar technologies
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Work closely with team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration, contributing to a positive team environment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web applications
Strong knowledge of PHP MVC frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony)
Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL and MongoDB
Experience with ORM tools such as Doctrine
Solid frontend development skills using React/Redux or Angular
Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues effectively
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Preferred

Master's degree
Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks
Certifications related to cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Developer)
