General Description/Purpose:
The Software Engineer would be responsible for new development along with support/enhancement of existing solutions built upon our own .Net / SQL Server multi-tier application. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute at various stages of the software development life cycle to a wide variety of data-centric projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Build interactive solutions with MS Visual Studio utilizing the C# and Infragistics user interface controls
Develop SQL procedures, functions, and views (Microsoft SQL Server)
Build user reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
Analyze, troubleshoot and remediate data-related issues
Support existing systems - proactively manage and maintain multiple systems to ensure performance and availability
Ability to work effectively within a team, communicating clearly and collaborating with other team members
Good problem-solving ability and adapting to new problems and challenges
Test and resolve software bugs, ensuring the quality and reliability of applications
Work directly with users to document requirements for new functionality as well as support existing systems
Provide off-hours support on a rotating basis as needed
Required Skills/Abilities: Experience in C# with emphasis on user interface design and heavy database integration
Prior experience with T-SQL Scripting
Prior experience developing scalable enterprise software solutions
Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field or, associate's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field with 2 years of similar professional experience.
Experience with SQL Integration Services and Analysis Services
Experience with MCL-Designer development toolset for mobile devices
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar accounting software
Experience with inventory and warehouse management software
Experience developing .NET API web services
Experience developing frontend web components and/or desktop client applications
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time on-site position: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Wages: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
