We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team.
Continuous Deployment (CD) is part of the Internal Developer Platforms zone (IDP). IDP enables athena R&D developers to manage the complexity of our technology and improve their productivity while ensuring that the products they build can work across an open ecosystem.
The Team: The Continuous Deployment team is a central part of developer experience at athenahealth. This team is responsible for building a pipeline at the core of athenahealth's SDLC. In this team, you will see a mix of technologies, including AWS, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Python, server management, Kubernetes and more. As a Member of Technical Staff, you will collaborate with the team and the company to implement best practices, ensure stability, and enhance the experience for our internal customers.
Job Responsibilities
Design and develop code on an agile team of Engineers, a Scrum Master, and a Product Owner.
Collaborate with team members to promote productivity and effectiveness, share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.
Develop knowledge and domain expertise. Take ownership of what you and the team build and coordinate your efforts across the teams to ensure proper completion.
Typical Qualifications
Ideally 2+ years of experience with significant software engineering skills and computer science experience.
Bachelor's Degree, Bootcamp, or equivalent work experience (including internships).
Experience working in an Agile environment at an enterprise level.
Proficient in at least one modern programming language.
Experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, Python, Jenkins, AWS, Groovy, Docker and similar broad technologies is preferred.
Experience with system administration in Unix/Linux.
