Position Overview:
As a Software Engineer at Live Michigan, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our clients and users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using various programming languages and frameworks.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
Continuously learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve software development processes.
Contribute to the documentation of software designs, processes, and user manuals.
Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of existing software applications.
Engage in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving team performance and project outcomes.
Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience in software development, with proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.).
Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
A hardworking and passionate attitude towards technology and software development.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development tools is a plus.
