About the Role: As a Software Engineer at GXO Logistics, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing software solutions that enhance our logistics operations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain software applications that support our mission of providing exceptional supply chain services. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals at all experience levels, from entry-level to senior positions, to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.


Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications that meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our software solutions. Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and system architecture diagrams. Assist in the integration of third-party applications and APIs to enhance system functionality. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. Engage in agile development practices, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Familiarity with web development frameworks, databases, and cloud technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Confident and resourceful, with a proactive approach to tackling challenges and finding solutions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the field.
