Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Lead the effort to drive software development for the next generation Network Interface Controller (NIC) at Google, taking the NIC through development into production.Design and evaluate approaches to use offload efficiently from Google software that can be offloaded to a SmartNIC/infrastructure processing unit.Implement and execute testable system specifications, conduct validation of behavior and suitability of prospective hardware units, prototypes, emulations, or simulations for the use in the Google infrastructure.Build and test software in C++ for the use of Google's Smart NICs.Set clear expectations based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly and discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
