Summary of Position: This position monitors, analyzes and tests software during development in order to ensure quality. SQA engineers use test automation software programs which set up test trials and preconditions to examine product functionality, content, and user friendliness. They design, build, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions.
Essential Functions and Duties: Create and execute Software test plan and test casesIdentify, Analyze and Report software issuesDocument test results during software development cycleParticipate in software design and software test planningRecommend improvements in software development and featuresMotivate the development process for efficiency and performanceWorks with Software Developers and Project Manager to enhance and improve Software ApplicationsMaintain updated knowledge of Software testing trends and industry standardsRequired reporting: Development efforts spent on new features, enhancements, and maintenanceOther reports and information as required Non-essential Functions and Duties: Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent experience5+ years of experience understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)5+ years proficiency utilizing computer technology and programming languages5+ years of knowledge of software Testing methodologies Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years proficiency utilizing computer technology and programming languagesExceptional attention to detailExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsGood oral and written communication skillsKnowledge in Agile and waterfall software development methods All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
