Position: At King Energy, we're on a mission to revolutionize the renewable energy sector by building, owning, and operating solar and storage infrastructure on multi-tenant properties. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Capital Markets executive to join our dynamic team and help us manage our growing portfolio of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects. You'll be part of the founding capital markets team interacting with current and potential investors and building our portfolio management function from the ground up, while working directly with our capital partners building scalable financing programs.
Responsibilities: Identify new financing partners and market opportunities to them. Build and maintain relationships with existing financing partners. Negotiate structure and deal terms with financing partners. Design detailed, comprehensive periodic project, fund, and fleet-level reporting. Build process, structure, and work products to scale King Energy. You'll be the master of your own destiny with autonomy and ownership over roadmaps, KPIs, priorities, and initiatives for the finance team. You will have direct ongoing access to all C-level executives and founders. You'll roll up your sleeves acquiring and selling solar assets, structuring new finance programs, and facilitating underwriting and diligence processes. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in capital markets and capital raising (investment banking, fundraising, asset management, or renewable energy). Strong knowledge of solar project financing structures. Exceptional relationship-building skills and a strong sense of client service. Visionary thinking with the ability to conceptualize and implement best-in-class capital raising function. Analytical mindset with a passion for diving deep into data and finding solutions collaboratively. Excel and PowerPoint, of course. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in a related field preferred. Experience with alternative renewable financing structures including tax equity structures. Experience with commercial scale solar projects and larger renewable portfolios.
