Role Overview
BDR Solutions, LLC seeks a Solution Architect to join the BDR Growth Team. The Solution Architect will be responsible for leading and designing technical solutions, processes, and staffing mix within the domains of systems engineering, data and business analytics, data science, cyber security, management consulting, healthcare IT, and program management to create and craft high-quality technical solutions for written proposals, white papers, client engagements, and oral presentations. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Growth. The ideal candidate will have experience serving in leadership roles on Federal IT proposals with prior experience serving as a technical solution architect or technical capture manager.
Responsibilities
Assess technical requirements and objectives and design technical IT and management solutions applying industry best practices, frameworks, and technologies (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, Agile, Cloud, DevSecOps, low-code/no-code platforms, AI/ML, etc.) resulting in tailored solutions for integration into the written technical proposal, white papers, client presentations, and oral presentations.
Apply analytics, problem-solving, and communication skills to identify best-fit technology solutions aligned to client requirements to deliver winning proposals to federal civilian, federal health, and other federal markets.
Architect and design innovative, cost-effective technical solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements.
Design approaches that optimize enterprise architecture across customer needs, business constraints, and technological implementation feasibility.
Provide technical leadership and consulting level support on industry trends and standards on business and technical solutions.
Provide facilitation for collaborative calls with partners, internal staff, and clients.
Collect and process strategic plans, goals, and objectives for Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and other Federal agencies.
Collaborate with BDR Growth and Operations teams leading technical direction to support the business development lifecycle including pre-sales, capture, and proposal.
Create technical solutions for proposals and manage technical response development by partnering with contributors from various internal and external teams via virtual and/or in-person meetings.
Research and provide context and feasibility of solutions relative to customer business needs
Support project start-up by performing technical interviews for resources to deliver work assignments.
Lead technical aspects of the capture lifecycle including pre-proposal planning activities, kick-off meetings, value proposition conveyance, theme development, technical solution feasibility, technical writing, and technical reviews.
Review/analyze proposal sections for consistency and clarity: Compliance with solicitation requirements, and alignment with proposed solutions and themes.
Collaboratively work with business development, R&D, and operational leadership to obtain adequate resources for accomplishing high-quality proposal development in a timely manner.
Ongoing improvements: Assist in the development and refinement of templates and standardized processes to streamline proposal development.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrate a minimum of 8+ years of experience in solution delivery, implementation, or engineering within DevSecOps, SDLC, Agile, Cloud optimization, and/or emerging technologies/capabilities (e.g., AI/ML, RPA, ZTA, etc.).
In-depth business and technical knowledge of technology trends and standards in government IT and digital services transformation
Experience leading technical discussions including the ability to take part in persuasive discourse with peers, partners, capture, pricing, and executive leadership
Proven experience to architect technical solutions based on client requirements
Ability to manage several proposals, projects, and priorities
Experience and expertise within the Federal IT market space
High level of expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
Proven excellent oral and written communication.
Ideal Experience
Proven experience working in a pace environment with a successful track record supporting proposals under VA T4NG, GSA MAS99 54151S, STARS III, and CIO-SP3.
Dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of audiences (e.g., Executive management, subcontractors, technical and management staff)
Demonstrated experience communicating clearly orally and in writing, and producing high-quality written products.
Strong relationships with technology vendors or service providers
