Solution Marketing Manager – Specialties
We are looking for a Solution Marketing Manager to join the Product Marketing team within our Marketing division. In this role, the Solution Marketing Manager will support the launch of the athenaOne for Ortho and ASC solutions, positioning and messaging, commercial enablement, and creation of marketing assets for Ortho and ASC (with the opportunity to expand to other specialties too). This individual will be an instrumental member of a dynamic and highly cross-functional team that facilitates collaboration between our Product, Marketing, Sales, and Service delivery teams to ensure that we are effectively messaging our Ortho and ASC solutions, workflows, and support services to prospects, customers, and the market overall.

The Solution Marketing Manager will build a strong understanding of our Ortho and ASC solutions and target audiences, and apply your knowledge to support training of commercial teams and the company. This individual will inform market and competitive intelligence, marketing programs, and campaigns. They will also initiate and author supporting content including website content, datasheets, pitch decks, customer stories, thought leadership pieces, and more. The Solution Marketing Manager will help execute the market launches of these new solutions, ensuring coordination and completion of key go-to-market activities and ensuring our partners in Sales, Customer Success, and across the company, have the information and supporting materials they need to effectively position and tell our story in market.

This is a high visibility role and is integral to the success of the specialties company initiative. In addition to working with leadership, this individual will also work closely with the Training & Enablement team, Segment Marketing teams and the Demand Center to develop our launch plan, marketing plan, enablement's and more!

The Team
The Product Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing athenahealth's commercial go-to-market strategy. Product Marketers strive to understand their customers and their markets to develop positioning and value propositions that resonate. Product Marketing acts as the storytellers of athenahealth, sharing knowledge about our solutions and services with both external and internal audiences to drive business results. Product Marketing collaborates with teams across athenahealth to break down barriers and ensure that commercial teams have the knowledge they need to inform buyers as well as the compelling content and tools necessary to create demand and win new business.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the marketing aspects of the commercial launch of our new Ortho and ASC solutions, working closely with Product Management & Strategy, Marketing, Sales to bring these to market and continue supporting growth in these markets.

Develop internal and external content, collateral and communications around commercial offering/feature launches or updates.

Support demand generation by collaborating with the segment and customer marketing teams to develop and refine relevant prospect and customer messaging and campaigns.

Craft and maintain effective positioning and value messaging, informed by an understanding of target audiences and their pain points, that clearly articulates the value we deliver to our customers.

Create and update content and collateral to support our value messaging and positioning: pitch decks, support slides, case studies and customer vignettes and video testimonials.

Support enablement of commercial teams with knowledge transfer, content, and programs that increase their grasp of our specialty markets, solutions, and value messaging.

Empower our commercial teams to understand and leverage our messaging and content, and actively engage with them to test and refine prospect-facing messaging.

Typical Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

5+ years professional experience in a business-to-business environment.

Healthcare industry or SaaS technology experience is required.

Proven experience working with sales teams and/or marketing teams strongly preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven expertise creating content for prospect communications, including website content, datasheets, customer stories, and other promotional collateral and communications.

Strong project management skills.

Ability to work cross functionally and juggle multiple high-profile projects at once.

Ability to learn complex healthcare concepts, government regulations and product portfolio quickly, and distill them into compelling messaging for internal and external audiences.
