Description Job Title: Solution Mining Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
The Solution Mine Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Moab site Management with guidance to maximizing production from its solution mine to the floatation plant.
They will help design and implement drilling and well completion strategies, utilizing advanced technologies to assess cavern characteristics, optimize production rates, and minimize environmental impact.
Will work collaboratively with geologists and other specialists to analyze geological data, evaluate cavern potential, and determine the most effective methods for extracting Sylvinite ore (Potash).
This position will have the need for chemical, mechanical and drilling engineering knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide daily production support and technical assistance for immediate processes and product problems.
Identify and implement process improvements leading to process loss reduction and process uptime improvements.
Maintain and develop process documentation.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Process and Solution KPI's Data collection and analysis Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting.
Material and energy balances Process engineering calculations.
Management of capital projects and status reports.
Assist and lead in the identification and resolution of product quality issues.
Assist with the growth and development of the solution mining process.
Manage the monthly solution mining report Analyze performance data and provide guidance to plant management.
Production optimization Research and Development.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
BS in a related Engineering degree.
Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, Petroleum
At least 5 years of related experience in an engineering role with general knowledge of well directional drilling.
Petroleum engineering is considered a plus.

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT9/80 schedule, Monday - Thursday, with every other Friday off.
As part of a 24/7 maintenance support team, employees must be available to work callouts as needed.
