Job summary
The position is responsible for selling the company's solutions, products, labor, and services.Maintaining and developing positive customer relationships.Achieving or exceeding assigned quotas for installation and service businesses.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Influencing customers and assisting them in buying products and services.• Conducting site surveys and preparing sales estimates and statements of work.• Delivering sales presentations to customers and management.• Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of product lines and services.• Partnering with internal departments to communicate job scopes and customer needs.• Attracting new customers and up-selling existing clients.• Generating sales leads and customer account information.• Creating proposals for customers and assisting in marketing initiatives.• Reviewing testing reports and quantifying service repair proposals.• Building customer relationships and promoting customer confidence in ADT.
Requirements
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, or three to five years of professional experience in high volume sales.• A minimum of five years of industry experience as a successful sales representative.• In-depth understanding of fire alarm/life-safety, intrusion alarm, access control, video surveillance, nurse-call, and low voltage systems.• The ability to organically grow business and provide solutions.• Must have a technical aptitude and understand drawings and codes.• Strong negotiation skills, prospecting skills, and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.• Availability for travel and a driver's license with an acceptable record.• Must be able to clear a pre-employment background check and drug screening.• Must be able to work extended hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
