We are currently seeking a Sourcing Assistant to join our Orchard Brands team at our Middleton, MA office.
JOB SUMMARY
Supports the Sourcing Manager with the management of the product lifecycle from beginning to end within the established seasonal timelines for a specific brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Management
Under the direction of the Sourcing Manager/Associate Sourcing Manager, enter RFQ data into eSPS to facilitate the product costing process.
Under the direction of the Sourcing Manager/Associate Sourcing Manager set-up the seasonal trackers (maintained in Excel) and administer regular status updates.
Update the Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports (maintained in Excel) on a weekly basis to ensure timely status updates for review by the Sourcing Manager and Associate Sourcing Manager.
Orders and track seasonal lab dips, proto samples, and photo samples with vendor base.
Follow-up with vendors and keep sourcing manager and merchants up to date on submission statuses.
Prepare samples and documentation for line reviews.
Ensures the systems are updated for the accuracy of order details.
Sends packages domestically and internationally.
Consistent, clear & concise communication to vendor base, sourcing team, merchandising, inventory and logistics.
Cross-functional Relationships Establishes a partnership with cross-functional teams of Design, Merchandising, and Inventory Planning for assigned brand from product development through delivery.
Partners with the offshore office, agents, and all vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma, AS degree preferred, 1 year of prior experience in similar field.
Knowledge of textiles and garment production a plus.
Computer experience to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel required) Self-motivated, detailed oriented with organization and prioritization skills Strong verbal and written communication skills.
