General Description: Leading a sourcing team responsible for several component categories, this strategic role is focused on development of procurement strategy, productivity delivery, supplier innovation development, and participation in cross-functional new product development teams.
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for sourcing strategy development and implementation across multiple component sub-categories with annual global spend responsibility of $130 ~ $150M.
Manage and engage sub-category team members driving engagement and an attitude of continuous improvement & growth.
Partner with regional procurement team members to enable efficient project execution and communication.
Manage and drive continuous improvement metrics such as cost productivity, working capital, geographic supply diversification, and single source reliance.
Develop and lead productivity projects in support of business goals based on - but not limited to the following areas: Supplier selection, Supplier Consolidation / Introduction, Negotiated Savings, NPD Changes, Quality Enhancements, Raw Material Changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as supply/demand planning, operations, engineering, marketing, quality, and finance to effectively drive accurate material forecasting, purchasing, compliance and standardized processes that enable continuity of supply, reduces E&O exposure, lowers material cost and ensures alignment between sourcing strategy and overall Operating Segment objectives.
Represent procurement as a key stakeholder to cross-functional peers from groups inclusive of R&D, quality, brand marketing, supply chain, and finance.
Job Requirements 8+ years of sourcing experience or demonstrated performance managing comparable scope of responsibility.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering or related field.
Demonstrated track record of leading teams and delivering results against performance metrics.
Strong project management skills and experience.
Global sourcing experience in consumer products preferred.
Must have good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Must be highly motivated and able to drive results independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%.
Proven leadership skills and talent development skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
