Focus: The Sourcing Manageris responsible for the procurement of goods and services necessary for the company's operations.
This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
Sourcing Manager Essential Job Functions: Perform overarching Modernization and Innovation Program support by developing and executing supply chain strategies relating to the procurement of indirect services and procurement.
Identify and develop new indirect service providers supporting upcoming projects and programs at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.
Support project proposal lifecycle from proposal intake to contract closeout.
Lead negotiation teams with subcontractors during proposal and project execution phase.
Monitor Subcontractor performance via established award milestones and Key Performance Indicators.
Draft and manage Subcontractor agreements with input from legal, engineering, and project management.
Recruit, coach, train, and mentor staff, including team leads.
Supervise/direct work assignments of multiple buyers.
Work in cross functional support environment, ensuring key stake holders and decision makers are informed with pertinent information in a timely manner.
Manage annual spend of $80M per year comprised of capital equipment, services, and direct materials.
Sourcing Manager Minimum Requirements: Must meet one of the following requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and sevenyears of experience in purchasing, supply chain management or related experience in a Government Contractor Procurement System environment following applicable FAR/DFAR regulations; OR Bachelor's Degree*; Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, related discipline and fouryears of experience in purchasing, supply chain management or related experience in a Government Contractor Procurement System environment following applicable FAR/DFAR regulations.
Demonstrated leadership skills in project management, supply chain management, communications, negotiations, contract preparation and management and uniform commercial code.
Deltek Costpoint experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of purchasing, MRP, and ISO standards.
Must be a self-starter, work well in teams, take charge.
Effective negotiation skills and good problem-solving skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and follow-through skills.
Previous experience managing people.
Location-Specific Requirements: This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
