Provide sourcing support to Marketing / R&D / Finance / Service / Quality in all stages of new product development in accordance with STERIS' NPD process.2. Develop and maintain expertise in the supply base's contemporary technology that can be utilized to upgrade existing products and designed into new products.3. Develop strategies to source assigned commodity based items at the lowest total acquisition cost and lead Commodity Council Teams to achieve identified savings goals.4. Conduct negotiations and issue contracts/agreement in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations within the guidelines of STERIS GSCM's Policies and Procedures.5. Lead and/or organize all necessary supplier audits including commercial, financial, and technical to ensure that STERIS maintains and continues to develop a robust and capable supply base.6. Leads the maintenance of the Aprroved Supplier's List in liason with Quality.7. Provide regular updates and reports to manager and purchasing staff on cost improvements and new product development programs.8. In addition to the above, Plant Sourcing Specialist will be required to support manufacturing activities by placing purchase orders and expediting to meet build requirements.9. Active participation of the SAFETY, CONTINUOS IMPROVEMENT and TRAINING initiatives, which include but are not limited to: A3 Certification and projects, STOP Observations, Monthly Safety Audits, SQDC board maintenance, upgrade and administration of KPI for the area, propose and execute CIP (Cost Improvement Projects), maintenance of LSW sheet, upgrade and maintenance of initiatives using Dploy system.**Education Degree**:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General**Required Experience**:- Five to ten years experience in Sourcing and demonstrated expertise in all aspects of sourcing including contract negotiations, commodity based materials management, project management, and commercial analysis.- Experience conducting supplier audits.- Two to three years verifiable experience on NPI projects.- Experience in other operations areas such as Quality Control, Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.**Skills**:- A high level of integrity as well as strong interpersonal and communicative skills.- Must possess strong negotiation skills.- Problem Solver.- Strong math skills and strong attention to detail.- Proficient in Excel.- Self-Starter- Problem Solver.STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
