Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare meals and food to meet specifications in a timely mannerProperly measure kitchen ingredients and food portionsEnsure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, rules and sanitation requirementsUse kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparationManage the kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high qualityEnsure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterwardKeep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitizedTake charge of kitchen opening, closing and other duties as directed by the Executive ChefMinimum Qualifications: Culinary degree preferredTwo or more years of experience in a culinary lead roleExperience in a high volume catering environment preferredAbility to build relationships by actively listening and responding to the client's needsAdaptable to changing business conditionsComfortable dealing with fast-paced environmentsBenefits: AVI is proud of its team members and appreciates the hard work, loyalty and committed service they provide every day, which is why we offer the following:
