We are hiring immediately for a SOUS CHEF - MIDDLE EASTERN/INDIAN CUISINE position.Location: Intuit MTV, 2601 Garcia Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full Time; Monday through Friday, 6:00AM - 4:30PM. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Details: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef with a passion for Middle Eastern/Indian cuisine to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to create and execute high-quality Middle Eastern dishes, manage kitchen operations, and ensure food quality and presentation meet our standards.
Key Responsibilities:Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen's daily operations.Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.Assist in menu development and planning, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.Design and update menus that highlight a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, while incorporating both traditional and innovative cooking methods.Develop, test, and record new Middle Eastern recipes in collaboration with the Executive Chef.Adjust menus based on feedback and dining trends.Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.Foster a positive dining experience for all customers.Requirement: Middle Eastern/Indian cuisine experience with leadership and management experience. The ideal candidate can drive the Indian/Middle Eastern program, create unique seasonal dishes in line with the cuisine, and maintain cost controls on menu items. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary Middle Eastern cooking techniques, spices, and regional flavors, as well as creativity and passion for developing new Middle Eastern/Indian dishes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Salary Range: $75,000 - 83,000

Job SummaryAs a Sous Chef I, you are responsible for assisting with the overall success of the food program and overseeing culinary functions. The position entails assisting in all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation. This includes adhering to the client's culture and guidelines, the Health Department's regulations, and the company's standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assists in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items.Assists with planning and creating menus.Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:5 years of related culinary experience including 1 year at the management level.Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Excel.Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.Associates at Eurest are offered many fantastic benefits.
