Summary: A Line Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items created by the Head Chef and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Points guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic and Profitable.Perform all duties by providing outstanding service efficiently in an ever-friendly demeanor.Assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.Prepare food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.Plate prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance.Work with servers and cashiers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and store the equipment at the end of shifts.Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.Willingness to shift to other stations and/or assignments as needed.All other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Work on your feet most of the day with minimal break time (lunch is often on the fly).Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.Effective and friendly communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management.Comply with company dress code.Retail background a plus.Ability to learn quickly.Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.Team-oriented.Additional Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.Prolonged periods of standing, walking over 5 miles a day.Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.Willing to live in a remote, rural community.Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting.Able to walk and drive on gravel roads in inclement weather.Compensation details: 16-18 Hourly Wage
