ClarkLindsey seeks the skills of a creative, friendly, adaptable Sous Chef.ClarkLindsey is excited to announce an opening for a Sous Chef. This position will be of interest to a candidate who is a team-player with kitchen leadership experience, extensive high-end banquet experience or a culinary degree plus related experience. Extensive experience in fundamental aspects of kitchen operations, and strict adherence to best practices for public health and safety standards is expected for this key role.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work with professionalism and poise in a fast-paced environment. The Sous Chef is a mentor and serves as a positive role model/example to the kitchen team, helping train, guide, and motivate staff to successfully and professionally meet and exceed culinary standards set forth by ClarkLindsey leadership.
Responsibilities include:Effective staff mentoring and supervision expected.Interact with residents and visitors in the dining rooms, proudly providing information about meals and accepting comments or feedback offered.Ensure food quality and safety, and maintaining high culinary standards.Experience with kitchen operations, including planning, ordering and purchasing is required.Experience with locally sourced, plant-based, and other non-traditional menus are encouraged to apply.The shift will be determined based on a candidate's skill set.
