Sous Chef Lifestyle Hotel San Francisco

DESCRIPTION: Award winning, 5-Star Luxury & Lifestyle Hotel overlooking the Embarcadero in San Francisco is seeking an experienced and dedicated   Sous Chef   to join the culinary team. The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to oversee the kitchen management duties and daily operations within the hotel. The Sous Chef will be assigned various projects, inventory, payroll, etc., and will be responsible for training new cooks and assisting with menu development.
**This role will be scheduled for mainly for Breakfast and Lunch shifts (shift starts at 7am) and candidates must be available to work weekends** QUALIFICATIONS: Passionate about food and a minimum of 2 years of similar work experience Experience in menu concept and design preferred A post-secondary diploma or culinary certificate preferred Experience in culinary operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement Excels at communication, both verbal and written Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $70k-80k annual salary Health & Wellness-  Company Paid Medical, Dental & Vision Pet Insurance Retirement Planning - 401k w/ match 18 Paid Personal Days Complimentary parking 8 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave Equal Employment Opportunity #AA
