ResponsibilitiesOBXtek is recruiting for a Space Acquisition SME for the Chief of Staff's Office (CGZ), Space Systems Command. This position will provide acquisition support to the Chief of Staff's offices in support of the Military Communication & Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (MilCom & PNT) Directorate. This position provides support for the Strategic Executive Support team.
MilCom & PNT is responsible for meeting a broad range of acquisition capabilities and executing effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities.
This position interacts with civilian Division Chief and Directorate leadership daily. The individual will provide personnel management support to Space Force customers in El Segundo, CA. Key duties associated with this position include:
Support the development, procurement, data collection, usage, modification/enhancement, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, verification, validation, protection, and maintenance of tools, processes, guidelines, methodologies, models, simulations, databases, websites, reports, and applications to support the execution of the acquisition and sustainment programs.Assist with business operations by extracting program-specific information, assessments, analysis, and reviews.Analyze and advise on various phases of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution process for specific programs.Develop, maintain, and update instructions, implementation guides, charters, and standardized processes.Apply critical thinking and experience to develop solutions for our customer's most challenging issues.Build weekly reports and briefings.Create documents and staff packages.Understand Department of Defense, Air Force, and Space Force organizations, processes, procedures, instructions, and guidance.Support customer meetings, which includes providing read-ahead materials, drafting meeting minutes, and tracking assigned action items.Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000/year
QualificationsUS Citizen and possession of a current Top Secret Clearance Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.15 - 20 years of extensive, relevant experience, and professional certifications in a related field.Expertise in CCAR, DoD/SSC acquisition, Inter-agency agreement package, MIPR, and AF9 supporting documents.Expertise using MS Office applications and DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force tools.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in business desired. (Master's Degree in an unrelated field requires an additional 2 years of relevant experience or relevant Professional Certification.)Security ClearanceTop Secret
