The Role
We are seeking a Space & Occupancy (S&O) Planner, reporting to the local Manager of Space & Occupancy Strategy, to support the planning of existing Netflix offices, lead on the development of space programming for new Netflix spaces, while tracking changes of workplace occupancy of Netflix's evolving real estate portfolio in theUCANregion.
The S&O team are strategic partners to the business. As part of Netflix's Enterprise Operations team, we plan, execute and implement real estate and spatial solutions to support the rapid growth and needs of Netflix as the business continues to evolve and expand globally.
The focus of the Space and Occupancy Planning role will be the planning and analysis of Netflix existing and planned corporate locations within the UCAN region, with a primary focus on Los Angeles. The role will collaborate and communicate with other members of the global space and occupancy team as well as stakeholders from across the company.
Key responsibilities:
Liaise, influence, and build relationships with local/regional business partners to ensure their business' allocation, adjacency and spatial needs are met, validating yearly headcount projections and short-term spatial programming/technical requirements
Proactively analyze, track and report space and occupancy trends based on local headcount forecasting, business org changes and space requirements
Partner with the global S&O Planning, Systems and Analytics teams to strategize long term occupancy and spatial solutions, develop workplace pilots specific to region to support hybrid workplaces, and inform best practices for real estate decisions
Partner closely and develop relationships with cross-functional local teams including Workplace, Moves and Design/Construction to support existing sites
Develop move scenarios in collaboration with local Moves teams for existing sites
Perform spatial analysis to proactively drive change in seating strategies, maximizing space utilization
Be a champion of change management for end users - creating, contributing, and maintaining employee resources to navigate workplace strategies (assigned seating, flex seating, hybrid work, etc).
Contribute to presentations for highly visible projects for a wide range audience (ie: senior leadership) containing but not limited to workplace standards, agile work environments, and campus-wide move migrations
Engage with a variety of business groups (including admins and executive leadership) on conceptual space occupancy plans and recommendations to stakeholders subsequently preparing block plans or stacking diagrams
Keep up to date with emerging trends and insights with regards to workplace strategy, design, and best practices
Other duties may be assigned
Travel up to 25% of the time
Requirements/Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Space Planning
2-3+ years of experience in workplace strategy, occupancy and space planning
Comfortable in a fast-paced, open, collaborative environment
High degree of flexibility and the ability to collaborate, problem solve and multi-task
Proficiency in Google Suite, specifically Sheets, including advanced data manipulation and analysis skills, with the capability to effectively interpret and present data insights.
Experience with CAFM systems (preferably Serraview/Eptura)
Knowledge of ADA requirements and building codes
Ability to read and interpret floor plans and construction documents

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $190,000.
