About Rocky Mountain Prep
Rocky Mountain Prep is a growing network of innovative public charter schools serving pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade students in the Greater Denver Area. Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to four schools, working with over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Grounded in our culture of rigor and love, our schools consistently outperform local districts academically while ensuring our scholars develop in our PEAK values of perseverance, excellence, adventure, and kindness.  In the school year ******** , we will grow to 12 schools serving over 5,000 students in grades PK-12th.

Role Mission:
The Office of the CEO represents the work directly managed and overseen by the CEO. These represent the organization's most important projects, goals, and aspirations.  This includes: Family Empowerment: Ensuring our families have power, privilege, and access inside and outside RMP. We work to ensure that the concept essence's vision of family empowerment is a reality daily across every RMP campus.  Network Events: Ensuring critical events, network initiatives, network professional development, and team coordination and collaboration are executed flawlessly and in line with the CEO's vision and bar for excellence. Growth and Development: We are responsible for architecting RMP's growth plan, the public perception and narrative of RMP, and raising the money needed to support the concept essence and our growth aspirations.  Academic Programming: This team brings our academic vision to life, selecting our curriculums, tools, and support for all RMP students. It is also responsible for ensuring that every teacher coach at RMP is excellent, that every teacher at RMP is fantastic, and that the training and support we offer teachers and leaders are the best in class.  Instructional Coaching: We ensure that everyone who coaches teachers at RMP is a high-quality instructional coach who is certified and qualified to help teachers perform their best and experience success.  We orient this work to our RMP concept essence, and we are looking for our next teammate.
  The Opportunity
We are looking for a rockstar to:
Facilitate project integration and alignment across academics, teaching and learning, and school teams to ensure that all aspects of our concept essence and academic vision come to life.  Manage the academic program team and ensure 100%* of RMP courses have high-quality curricular materials, scopes and sequences, assessments, and other deliverables as needed. This will require that the Special Assistant assumes responsibility for developing these for certain grade-level bands and content areas.  Radically improve the quality of support from the academics team and improve staff organizational health and teacher retention.  Manage the Accelerated Reader program, ensuring every school runs a high-quality, academic vision-aligned AR program that helps our scholars become millionaires and double millionaires.  The vision for this role is that this position will also incubate additional special projects from the CEO. As we continue to develop our strategy and approaches for strengthening our academic program, the Special Assistant will project manage this operationalizing.

Qualifications Education & Experience:
At least five years of professional work experience with a track record of results leading in Academics, Leader Development, and Teacher Development.  Experience within an educational or non-profit setting managing or supporting cross-functional teams and projects is essential.
Skills
Change Management: Knowledge of the change process and cycle. Understanding of and ability to lead through the technical, interpersonal, and organizational aspects of change. Ability to lead annual and special projects from inception to completion.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences and the knowledge to scaffold communication messages for internal audiences and staff.
Data Interpretation: Ability to interpret data to drive decision-making, identify trends, and proactively support our people.
Stakeholder Engagement: Storytelling skills with the ability to convey the "why" behind decisions. Ability to receive feedback and inputs that ultimately strengthen our work. Strong facilitation skills.
Project Management & Integration: Ability to integrate and align projects across diverse teams to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.   Operational Efficiency: Expertise in creating operational systems and mechanisms that foster transparency, collaboration, alignment, and coordination by seeing interdependencies. Ability to develop project plans, tracking systems, and accountability for team delivery on the various components of a project.

The Special Assistant to the CEO and Managing Director of Academic Programs is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $115,000 - $160,000. We anticipate bringing someone near the lower-end to mid-point of this range to ensure growth potential in this role as the work evolves and our network needs increase over time.
This position is a hybrid position working from an in-home office with collaboration and engagement (given the nature of the work) that requires time in Denver as agreed upon by both the candidate and the CEO. The nature of the work will occasionally call for early mornings, some evenings, and weekend work or travel.
