Job Description

Currently hiring a special education teacher to work with students near Forest Park, IL for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities

Maintains a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.Experience with co-teaching, providing reading and math interventions, progress monitoring, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and parentsProvides responsive, rigorous and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successfulParticipates in collaborative curriculum designCreates a positive classroom environmentExhibits flexibility, initiative and creativityPossesses strong classroom management skillsUses student learning data to adjust instruction, monitor student growth, and design IEP goalsDemonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skillsEnsures that each student's goals and objectives are addressed; maintains and updates special education records for accuracy and compliance.She/he will collaborate with administration, general education teachers and related service providersOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL); Endorsements: LBS1
