Special Education Teacher

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and support in both Inclusion and Resource classroom settings. Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with learning disabilities and other needs. Collaborate with general education teachers to modify and adapt curriculum for students with diverse needs. Maintain and track progress on IEP goals and accommodations. Support students in accessing the general education curriculum and assist with academic tasks. Manage behavior interventions and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Qualifications: Active North Carolina Special Education License with Resource Specialist certification (required). Strong knowledge of the North Carolina IEP system (ECAT) and familiarity with NC ECATS documentation (required). Experience working with middle school students, particularly in Inclusion and Resource classroom settings (preferred).
