Job Opportunity: Special Education Teacher in Groton, MA Company: Soliant Education Location: Groton, Massachusetts Position: Special Education Teacher Hours: Full-Time, 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM Pay: $35 - $40 per hour About the Role: Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Groton, MA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team, including four paraprofessionals and a BCBA, to provide exceptional educational experiences for students with diverse needs. Key Responsibilities: Instruction and Support: Provide tailored instruction and support for a classroom of 8 students with both behavioral and cognitive disabilities. IEP Management: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure each student's unique needs are met. Academic Testing: Conduct academic testing, including rating scales and progress monitoring, to assess student performance and adjust instruction as needed. Collaborative Environment: Work closely with 4 paraprofessionals and a BCBA to create a cohesive and effective learning environment. Classroom Details: Student Caseload: 8 students Support Staff: 4 paraprofessionals and a BCBA in the room Classroom Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM Qualifications: Certification: Valid Special Education Teaching License for Massachusetts. Experience: Experience working with students with both behavioral and cognitive disabilities is preferred. Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficiency in academic testing and progress monitoring, and the ability to collaborate effectively with support staff.
