We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Melrose,Massachusetts, working in our RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Education) Program for middle school students. This full-time position is ideal for an educator passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs. You will work closely with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that foster student growth and independence. Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction in the RISE program to middle school students with varying needs. Develop and implement IEPs, set measurable goals, and track student progress. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth. Communicate regularly with families, administrators, and the IEP team regarding student progress. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training. Qualifications: Must hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License . Experience with middle school students in a special education setting preferred. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to create individualized lesson plans and manage a caseload of students. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
