Living residential in Ulaanbaatar and fly in and fly out to the mine site or international FIFO (4 weeks on, 2 weeks off) and reporting to the Underground Superintendent Planning, you will be:
Delivery of long-range planning for the underground mine. This includes Budgets, annual planning and forecasts out to 5 years / LOM in duration. Mentor, manage and train long range planning team members and support other planning teams. A confident and inclusive communicator with demonstrated experience of planning and leading planning teams. What you will bring Mining Engineering Degree Demonstrated expertise with Mine planning, Deswik Sched preferably. Expert level software skills Scheduling experience of at least 5 years in underground operations Prior large scale hard rock mining experience and cave mining if possible Leading a safety culture of continuous improvement, be a good role model It will also be beneficial if you have:

Where you will be working Oyu Tolgoi is an operating Copper / Gold open pit mine with a brownfields underground mining project. The site is located in the Gobi Desert region of Mongolia. The reserves case for the underground project is in the order of 0.5 billion tonnes of ore to be mined from the 95,000 tonnes per day Hugo North Lift 1 (HNL1) panel cave mine with a 20-year operations life. There is also the potential for three further block cave districts to increase mine life beyond 100 years.
