PROCEDURE: Maintain supply ingredient and material inventory controlManage the procurement of goods and servicesProvide all required information to other departmentsInput required data into SAP BOM MMG that relate to materials purchaseReceipt and material issuesMinimize or eliminate variancesArrange personnel that manage the inventoriesEstablish and maintain stocking levelsMaintain visibility and the ability to report and track freight expensesArrange for and schedule freight coordinate shipments with inventory management production scheduling plant maintenance needs an economic order quantityMaintain business relationships with suppliersOrder materials quantities that meet production needsManage the Purchase to Pay processOrganize, coordinate, track and sometimes manage projectsPlan and maintain operational budgetsCooperate and support all Corporate Purchasing policiesCoordinate with all levels of managementWork on a daily basis to improve cost and pounds producedTrack and review all inbound loadsEvaluate new products and discuss new processesMonitor inventory levels of ordering as neededEnsure all products are run within the agreed code date specificationsEnsure all shipping locations get accurate shipping instructionsOther duties as assignedOvertime as requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Vision-100Hearing-100Manipulation of arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet-100Standing-25Walking-25Sitting-75WORKING CONDITIONS: Extreme cold inside outside heat noisy odors electrical hazards exposure to falls and strains. REQUIREMENTS: Experience: 3-5 years
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Accounting, and/or Logistics preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications, Tyson business computer systems SAP MMG BOM and PPS. Good verbal, math, and written communication skills.
Travel: 1-12 plus trips per year.
Communication Skills: Must be able to speak clearly, listen and understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly in writing and understand the same.
Position-Specific Requirements: Some weekend work required.
