Procurement Specialist – Solvay, NY
Salary range: $58,500 - $97,500
The Opportunity:
The Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for issuing service purchase orders and purchasing and maintaining the facility's materials inventory. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement Manager.

• Works with internal business partners to help streamline their procurement activities
• Executes new vendor initiation and setup
• Assist accounting with invoice resolution
• Support company initiatives as required – storeroom inventory reductions, inventory consignment and Pick, Kit and Delivery process.
• Backup storeroom supervisor and others as necessary
• Reads and reviews supplier contracts; work closely with legal and business partners to execute appropriate contracts.
• Creates purchase orders as required
• Assists across various departments to ensure timely and accurate renewals of contracts
• Participates on the weekend duty rotation
What you need to succeed: • High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree is preferred
• 3-5 years Procurement experience preferred
• Significant Procurement process and policy knowledge
• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented personality
• Ability to problem solve, work independently and multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, JD Edwards, etc. preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, word processing software and email.
• Ability to work safely in the mill environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The salary range for this position is $58,500.00 - $97,500.00, depending on your role, level, and location.
