Description
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for custom automation machinery, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
Program and configure various control devices, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and safety systems, for precise automation control.
Translate customer requirements into design specifications and evaluate design feasibility to meet project goals.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of automation projects.
Create professional electrical schematics, panel layouts, and detailed bills of materials for accuracy.
Collaborate with internal and external customers during design reviews and maintain project schedules.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and stay updated with the latest technology trends in automation.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with extensive experience in industrial automation and controls development.
Over 5 years of experience in designing, programming, and implementing control systems for custom automation projects.
Strong proficiency in Rockwell Control/Compact Logix platform and experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create control system architecture diagrams and wiring schematics.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
Proven collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers.
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical component selection, panel layout design, and safety practices.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for engaging with customers and team members.
