Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP): Cotton Valley, LA Duration: August 5, 2024, to May 20, 2025 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Student Age Range: 2nd grade to 8th grade Description: Soliant has partnered with a school in the area of Cotton Valley, LA, and is seeking applicants for a contract position for the upcoming school year. The selected Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will work with students from 2nd grade to 8th grade. Requirements: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Louisiana SLP license Prior experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations Description of Duties: Following frameworks of student IEPs (Individual Education Plans), state curriculum, or common core standards, develop and implement speech services that are developmentally appropriate. Provide direct individual and/or group therapy. Provide clinical supervision to 1-2 Speech and Language Assistants. Administer speech and language evaluations. Attend IEP meetings. Conduct and chair annual review meetings for students who receive speech/language services. Provide inter-disciplinary programming by consulting with teachers, and other therapeutic staff. Consult with classroom staff in implementing goals of all students. Collect, analyze and maintain data on all students within the classroom. Conduct thorough evaluations necessary for quarterly progress reports, annual assessment and reevaluations. Plan daily work schedule to meet the requirements for direct service minutes, and utilize indirect time in accordance with District guidelines. Facilitate ongoing parent contact and encourage family involvement. Depending on student disabilities, SLPs may need to propose interventions or supports that fall outside the realm of instruction, such as feeding, or AAC use. Applicants will be entered into an applicant pool and will be assigned caseloads/buildings based on District needs.
