Guardian Rehab Expectations for Speech Language Pathologist
As a Speech Language Pathologist with Guardian Rehab, you will provide speech assessment, services, direction, and care to patients in your region.
You will evaluate the patient's home environment and functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
Play an important part in helping our patients to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
Document patient care in accordance with Guardian's, regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
Make presentations to support marketing efforts, at team conferences and in-services.
Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws.
Holds a master's degree from an approved college or school of speech-language pathology.
Current state Speech Language Pathology licensure and credentialing Certificate of Clinical competence (CCC) as granted by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligible to begin the Clinical Fellowship Hear (CFY).
CPR certification Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Completes continuing education requirements as set forth by state and/or professional organization Are you ready to join our guardian team?
