Speech Language Pathologist Job Opportunity Soar Autism Center is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Job Summary: As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar Autism Center, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD.
You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and instruments.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication disorders in children with ASD
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to improve communication skills
Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care
Engage families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development
Regularly evaluate and document progress, refining interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness
Requirements: Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
License to practice speech pathology in the state of Arizona or Colorado
Preference for SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but open to new SLPs starting their career
Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or interest in learning from our clinical teams
Ability to connect and engage with young children, embodying a playful spirit
