Description

The Speech and Language Pathologist is part of an inter-professional team that follows a collaborative treatment model.
The speech pathologist provides diagnostic, remedial and consultative services for children with communicative disorders; determines specific needs of children who display speech, language and hearing difficulties.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Complete comprehensive speech and language assessments and ongoing progress reports Plan and develop evidence-based interventions Provide center-based and telepractice direct and indirect speech and language therapy Provide AAC services including assessment, intervention, maintenance, and programming Plan and facilitate social skills groups Complete clinical documentation for ongoing treatment planning and insurance billing Provide consultation and coaching to Behavior Technicians Communicate with parents and other stakeholders regularly Collaborate regularly with BCBAs Providing parent and staff trainings Qualifications PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Master's degree in speech and language pathology from an accredited school required Interest in working within a collaborative ABA model required Experience with working with children with ASD preferred Maintaining a valid MA license; and Follow MA State and ASHA ethical guidelines CPR/BLS preferred Valid driver's license Strong organizational skills WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to occasionally lift children, materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
