Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will provide services to students with speech, language, and communication challenges. This is a school-based role, supporting students from preschool through high school to improve communication skills, thereby fostering their academic and social success. Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Implement therapy sessions for students with diverse communication needs. Provide consultation and training to teachers, parents, and staff on speech and language development and disorders. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of services, assessments, and progress. Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and team meetings. Stay current with evidence-based practices and legal requirements in the field of speech-language pathology. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate communication goals into academic instruction. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Delaware State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the Delaware Board of Speech Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensers. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC-SLP ) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ( ASHA ) preferred. Delaware Department of Education Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists. License in School-Based Practice (if required by the district). Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred. Knowledge of federal and state laws related to special education and speech-language pathology. Skills: Strong understanding of IEP development and execution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is a plus. Work Environment: This position is based in a school setting, working directly with students, teachers, and parents.
