Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, parents, and other school personnel to support students' communication skills and academic achievement. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students based on assessment results. Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in groups, as outlined in their IEPs. Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment. Attend IEP meetings and provide professional input regarding student progress and treatment recommendations. Maintain accurate and compliant records in accordance with school district and state regulations. Provide training and consultation to staff and families on communication disorders and strategies to support student success. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) . Educational Specialist Certificate for Speech and Language Impaired, issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) . Experience with school-aged children and familiarity with Pennsylvania's IEP process. Additional Requirements: Act 48 Continuing Professional Education (ongoing professional development required in PA). Pennsylvania State Clearances , including: Act 34 Criminal History Report (PA State Police). Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance . FBI Fingerprint Clearance under Act 114 . Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training . Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within a school setting. Strong understanding of Pennsylvanias IEP development process and familiarity with school-based services. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
