Galena ABA Speech and OT is seeking a bilingual (Spanish-English) full-time SLPA to service its patients, aged 2-18, children on the autism spectrum and those with other related disabilities.
As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, the SLPA will play a crucial role in enhancing communication skills and promoting social interaction and play skills with peers.
Clinical and professional growth is a high priority and is promoted via training and supervisory support.
Prior special education and AAC knowledge/experience preferred.

To qualify, applicants must: Have an active state-level licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)Have experience working with children-teenagers.Experience in Feeding will be a plus!!

SLPA therapy treatment for children with cognitive communication disorders,speech and/or language impairments or delaysServe as a member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Team for patients with speech and/or language concernsFacilitate goals and objectives per child's educational planMaintain appropriate recordsWork in coordination with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible studentsPerform other SLPA duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certificationEnsure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulationsWhat to expect from your Galena experience? Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' speech and language goals, considering their unique needs and abilities.Provide direct therapy services to patients with speech, language, and communication disorders, both individually and in group settings.Collaborate with parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate speech and language goals into the students' academic curriculum and daily activities.Monitor patients' progress regularly and adjust intervention plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluation results, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant records in compliance with state and federal regulations.Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the development of students' education plans.Stay current with best practices, research findings, and professional developments in the field of speech-language pathology.Qualifications: Valid Florida state license or provisional licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.Previous experience working with children.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques for a variety of speech and language disorders.Ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and individual patients' needs.Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
Hours: 20 to 40 hours per week
