We seek a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and skilled professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Position Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, the SLP develops and implements individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Use evidence-based practices to assess residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing challenges.
Provide therapy interventions, including compensatory strategies, exercises, and alternative communication methods.
Educate residents, families, and staff on strategies to support communication and swallowing improvements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
Monitor and document residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Colorado.
A certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to care.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centered care.
