Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC, a growing CPA Firm with multiple offices throughout the state of Georgia, is searching for accounting students interested completing an audit internship program with the firm.
The audit intern will support the audit department in various tasks, including but not limited to audit planning, performing audit procedures, data analysis, and documenting processes.


Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Intern to join our team during the Spring 2026 semester.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in public accounting, offering hands-on experience in audit procedures, financial analysis, and client interactions.
The selected candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining exposure to various industries and building a strong foundation for a successful career in auditing.


Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate the accuracy of financial statements.
Document and assess internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with client personnel to obtain necessary information and resolve audit queries.
Participate in team discussions and meetings to enhance understanding of client businesses and industries.
Contribute to the preparation of audit reports, summarizing findings and recommendations.
Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations affecting audit engagements.

Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting or a related field.
Strong academic record with a focus on accounting, auditing, or finance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
