Sr Accountant

Position Summary :The Sr Accountant plays a critical role in managing essential general accounting functions for a publicly traded company. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards, maintaining financial integrity, and driving process improvements.
What You'll Do:
Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries for cash, fixed assets, CIP, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Reconcile accounts and bank statements, and analyze general ledger and fixed asset activities.
Support external/internal audits, ensuring SOX compliance and adherence to public company reporting standards.
Collaborate with A/R and A/P teams to resolve customer and vendor management issues.
Prepare and analyze internal financial reports, delivering actionable insights.
Oversee technical accounting projects and develop policies to enhance internal controls and scalability.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, supporting the company's growth and market expansion.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
Expertise in managing fixed assets and construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts.
Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and intercompany transactions.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a team-oriented mindset.
