The Sr. Analyst is a critical role within Dolby's Corporate Strategy and Development (CSD) function, focusing on analyzing and assessing strategic and M&A opportunities, and executing on those that the company decides to pursue.
The position offers the opportunity to focus on addressing a broad array of key strategic areas of growth for the company and provides an excellent platform to play a prominent role in crafting the future of one of the most exciting companies in the Audio and Imaging landscape.
This position plays a high-profile role in engaging with the executive leadership team, business groups, and other functions as a representative for Corporate Strategy & Development within Dolby as well as with external companies and partners.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with leaders across the company, and notably within the advanced technology group, to help them understand where areas of opportunity lie and drive the focus areas for new technology innovation.Research and identify potential new market opportunities for Dolby and build industry landscapes and competitive analysis.Drive the process for assessing key corporate strategy questions and hypotheses.Support strategic processes and make key recommendations for various key internal initiatives.Present strategic findings to senior business leaders at Dolby.Corporate Development/M&A: Collaborate with leaders in the business groups to develop a strong understanding of business focus areas and product roadmap to identify acquisition target areas.Develop and review financial models and perform valuation analyses.Research and identify potential targets and build M&A landscapes to support the corporate development process.Assist in all aspects of the corporate development process including sourcing and qualification of opportunities, market research, competitive analysis, due diligence, and deal execution.Qualifications: Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant job experience.Experience in corporate strategy, strategic consulting, corporate development, or equivalent experience.Ability to assess opportunities with reference to market trends and business strategy.Process management skills and ability to facilitate strategic processes with key internal stakeholders.Solid research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Team player with a hands-on mindset.Outstanding communication and presentation skills.Technology industry experience is a plus.The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $109,000 - $145,800 which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
