The Senior Business Unit Group Manager is a senior-level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Unit Group Manager may coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Create methodologies, procedures and governance of the Productivity Area to ensure expense targets are met by each business/function
Evaluate and approve investment/expenditure requests and capital expenses for all areas/functions
Ensure approved out-of-budget expenditure requests are appropriately handled
Engage in cost management activities, such as validating spending and cost saving initiatives, monitoring savings initiatives and expenses, as well as monitoring consistency between financial information, productivity information and HR reports
Identify opportunities to optimize costs, propose initiatives and lead creation of direct expense plans in partnership with internal functions and teams
Manage and drive the process to set up a continuous cycle of organization/operating model reviews to shape the local organization model
Provide leadership and promote business ties with internal and external senior leaders/clients across key businesses, regions and support functions
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience
Management experience in a financial services role
Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
Demonstrated ability to manage a team, complex projects and processes
Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven strategic planning and presentation skills
Consistently develop and maintain effective work relationships
Proven ability to conduct research/analysis and organize findings
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
The Finance Forecasting Technology team focuses on solutions for producing Citi's forward looking balance sheet for base operating plan, stress simulation, and interest rate risk management. The team sits within the Treasury, Tax, and Forecasting team within Global Functions Technology. The platform provides solutions for stakeholders across key areas of the bank including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, CCAR, and Capital Optimization.
The Product Development Head role is a position that requires a senior candidate with exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. The role will report directly to the Global Head of Finance Forecasting Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will include, but not limited to the following:
Develop product roadmap for common forecast capabilities required to serve the diverse needs and perspectives of 6 different areas of the bank spanning across finance and risk. Develop deep understanding of current and future business needs and challenges, understand existing capabilities in depth, and develop solutions and timeline for incorporation into roadmap
Manage delivery and execution of roadmap, which will include 6 large programs of work with approximately 50 major projects, meeting critical regulatory and internal risk management needs across the bank. Ensuring deliverables are met on time and with high quality, exceeding customer satisfaction.
Responsible for owning communications with senior clients and senior technology management to demonstrate business value and progress on delivering strategic roadmap for clients
Maintain a breadth of industry knowledge on the industry marketplace for tools used in the forecasting space, continuing our ability to be best-in-class
Maintaining a best-in-class culture of compliance and risk and control, ensuring that the platform and each deliverable meet the highest standards for controls and compliance.
Manage relationships with GPO and Internal Audit functions, which are critical to the success of our delivery
Contribute as a thought leader to on-going process improvement and maturity across the department. Develop, hire, and retain top talent.
