Sr. Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist.
This person would be responsible for handling complex litigated and non-litigated claims, including but not limited to, slip and falls, premises liability, auto, bodily injury, and property damage losses throughout the Connecticut region.
This includes analyzing and resolving claims, litigation management, and claim disposition.



Handle a caseload of 100 - 120 Commercial General Liability and Auto claims from inception to close.
Coverage analysis and letter writing; investigation; evaluation; reserve adequacy and timeliness; diary maintenance; management of defense and coverage counsel.
Identifying and evaluating coverage issues, preparing coverage letters and analysis, retaining and managing coverage counsel through trial, and developing and managing strategy for complex coverage litigation.
Claim presentations, both written and oral; obtain authority and/or formulate appropriate action plans on difficult claims.
Strategize early settlement opportunities.
Requirements:5 - 10+ years of Commercial General Liability claims handling experience Must hold an active Connecticut Adjuster's License Must reside in the state of Connecticut Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong litigation management skills and ability to direct defense counsel Salary/Benefits: $100,000 to $120,000+ annual base salary plus lucrative bonus plan Flex schedule and ability to work remotely Extremely competitive Medical, Dental, Vision and Life plans Employer matching 401(k) plan Generous PTO plan
