Description

Leidos' Security Detection and Automation group is seeking an experienced Sr. Configuration Management Specialist. As a member of the CM Team, the Sr. CM Specialist will work alongside program managers, engineers and actively lead CM professionals to process hardware and software changes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of drawings, schematics, software and documentation. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret and apply policies, processes, procedures and technical data standards and maintain awareness for continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

Drive technical/functional Configuration Management (CM) support in alignment with CM processes, systems, and software release execution for the business.

Work closely with all business system technical teams to plan out timelines, identify customer requirements, and delivery expectations for releases performed.

Provide process oversight and monitor all code repositories to ensure best practice software development lifecycle methodologies are adhered to.

Execute software/hardware release and change control functions using the designated CM Tools in an Agile environment, to ensure software and hardware product integrity and meet program schedules.

Demonstrate knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM): part categories, drawing types, change orders and document control processes.

Enforce CM Policy on assigned program(s) as set forth in company procedures or project Configuration Management Plans.

Review and process part/product changes efficiently, accurately and consistently.

Drive process improvement initiatives in an effort to streamline and standardize proper CM status accounting and procedural implementation.

Analyze change impact on in-process and on-hand material.

Managing Engineering Change Requests through the product lifecycle.

Part entry and updates.

Manage/maintain product baselines.

Author and periodically update CM processes and procedures.

Review and analyze program data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities and develop and generate metrics as related to CM (e.g., issue tracking counts, lines of code, new/updated BOMs).

Communicate regularly cross functionally to assure requirements, milestones, and deadlines are met.

Experience handling highly regulated, classified or sensitive data.

Prepare for and support functional and physical configuration audits.

Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

General data-entry.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Configuration Data Management or equivalent discipline.

BS degree and/or CM certification from an ASQ accredited source. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Familiarity with CAD applications and software library tools (Solidworks and Git).

Intermediate to advanced Word and MS Excel knowledge.

Versed in the fundamental principles of EIA-649 and ISO 9001.

Proficient in Windchill, ePDM, CostPoint, ERP, Quickbase and/or equivalent CM tools or platforms.

Strong written/verbal communication skills, organization, problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Thrives in a team environment.

Must be able to join meetings via web-cam 80% of the time

Position will pay $100-115k, 3 days in the office 2 days remote

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
