The Sr.
Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for telling the story of Credit Union ONE and the value we provide for our members, employees, and the communities we serve.
Oversees the credit union's interactions with the public through implementing content strategies and managing social media.
This role manages all content creation for the credit union including but not limited to info graphics, blog articles, podcasts, social posts, photography, long and short form video content, and more.
This role also manages the strategy and execution of social media for the credit union with a focus on increasing brand and community awareness.
Responsibilities:
Performance Responsibilities - Assures positive performance and execution of all job functions.
Responsible for positive performance and execution of assigned departmental strategies, projects, and delegated tasks and responsibilities.
Strategic Development - Develops and implements overall strategy and action plans to meet strategic and operational objectives of content marketing and social media.
Content Marketing - Develops content across multiple channels and platforms that tells the story of Credit Union ONE, our members, our employees, and the value you provide to the communities we serve.
Provide educational materials to improve the financial knowledge and wellbeing of our members.
Highlights and promotes Credit Union ONE's community involvement, charitable donations, and sponsorships.
Development of a content marketing strategy to ensure that we are constant and consistent in communicating the above to our members.
Social Media - Analyzes community engagement, identifies trends in member interactions and plans digital campaigns to build community online.
Utilizes social media tools to create and maintain the Credit Union's brand; Works with Marketing team to develop social media marketing campaigns; interacts with members and other stakeholders through social media channels; develops social media strategy identifying gaps and making recommendations to keep the credit union relevant.
Identifies appropriate key performance indicators (KPI) and calculates Return On Investment (ROI) to measure the effectiveness of social media strategy and reports them to management.
Public Relations - Assures adequate media and internal coverage of events and activities.
Writes and releases press releases and monitors media sources for mentions of Credit Union ONE.
Seeks opportunities for positive media coverage of events whenever possible and appropriate.
Representative of Credit Union - Act as representative of credit union on social media with the highest regard for member satisfaction in every interaction.
Community Events - Work with the Community Relations Manager to ensure proper social media and content marketing coverage of all events, donations, and sponsorships.
Presentations - Possesses exceptional presentation skills for reports and other presentations to internal stakeholders and with external parties as assigned.
Project Management - Possesses exceptional project management skills.
Supervises projects as assigned.
Meets regularly with supervisor to provide project updates.
Creates and maintains project plans that clearly communicate tasks, milestones, status, expectations, and resource allocations, including accurate project budgets.
Regularly utilizes dedicated project management tools, including but not limited to, Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Project Management and Results (PMAR) to plan and manage projects.
Data Analysis and Reports - Responsible for development and preparation of various reports and analysis that establish a shared understanding of departmental standards, productivity/efficiency, as requested or required by executive management or the board of directors.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
Minimum of five years of work-related experience.
Work-related experience should consist of an in-depth background in communications, marketing, digital art, advertising or promotions.
Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be related to content marketing and/or financial services.
Minimum of five years of experience in traditional and digital marketing including the creation of engaging content for print, digital, email marketing, website, and social media channels.
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs for image, video, and audio creation.
Excellent written communication skills with experience writing short and longform content for various audiences across multiple channels.
Advanced skills related to storytelling, content creation, social media, public speaking, and media.
Exceptional knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, and the willingness to learn new social media platforms as they emerge.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Intermediate knowledge of financial services, more specifically credit unions and credit union products, services and operations.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work without direct supervision while performing duties.
This is a hybrid position with expectations of coming into the Main office in Ferndale, Michigan as directed.
